Landscapes of the northern coast of Japan
Jaymal is a fine art and landscape photographer based between the UK and Switzerland.. His work seeks to inspire conscious thought and self-reflection, with his photographs serving as a visual meditation on the world around us. He encourages the viewer to contemplate the subtle forms of nature and the ever changing states of the landscape, seeking to evoke an emotional response in the viewer through the image and its title. Through the use of long exposure, Jaymal’s photographs draw time to a standstill, and turn the real into the surreal, creating a tranquility and calmness for our otherwise busy minds.
Drawing inspiration from the landscapes of the northern coast of Japan and Lake Biwa, Jaymal’s new series of work captures the subtle silhouettes and tranquil beauty of sleepy fishing villages as well as the more traditional Japanese religious images such as it’s sacred Torii gates. This collection of limited edition black and white images is printed on Fuji Matt paper using C-type ink and is available in a variety of sizes.
